Stone Sealer (8.5oz)
Lustro Italiano Stone Sealer is formulated to protect your natural stone surfaces from stains commonly found in kitchens or work areas. When applied as directed, it creates a durable barrier that helps prevent spills from penetrating and damaging your stone. As an impregnating penetrating sealer, it often requires only annual application.
Materials
Lustro Italiano’s ultra-premium sealer safeguards granite, marble, travertine, and limestone, and works on polished, honed, brushed, or antique finishes, as well as grout, tile, concrete, pavers, brick, and block. Lustro Italiano natural stone sealer is designed to penetrate into the microporosities of the stone to protect against everyday household oils such as olive oil, vegetable oil, grease, etc. The sealer also provides a barrier against foods such as water based liquids. It penetrates stone micropores to shield against oils and water-based stains without altering color or leaving any film. Typically, it endures 4–5 years on countertops and about one year on high-traffic floors.
How to Use
- Clean stone with Lustro Italiano stone cleaner to remove all surface oils, foods, dirt, etc.
- Remove all stains from the stone before you use Lustro Italiano sealer.
- Apply sealer with a brush, sponge, or pour onto the stone and spread with a paper towel.
- Allow Lustro to set on the stone for approximately 5 minutes. If the stone absorbs all of the sealer, apply more to the stone. Once Lustro has stopped absorbing into the stone, wipe off all excess from the top. If applying for the first time, we suggest applying a second coat after 1 hour using the same application.
- After removing all product from the surface, allow the stone to dry 6 hours before food application. On floors, wait 24 hours before use.
- Lustro Sealer is a solvent based sealer that will have an odor when being applied. The odor will disappear within 1 hour of application.
- Follow with Lustro granite & marble cleaner and polish as cleaning and maintenance for the stone.
WARNING: Lustro Stone Sealer does not provide anti-etch protection on marble surfaces. Use of acidic substances such as wine, tomato, citrus, coffee, etc. will etch the surface by creating a chemical reaction with the calcium carbonate present in marbles.
