The Lustro Italiano Marble Stain & Etch Remover Restoration Kit addresses the complexity of marble stains caused by various household foods, liquids, and substances. Since marble is porous, it absorbs liquids differently depending on their nature, previous care, and exposure time, affecting restoration effort. Etching and staining are distinct processes that require separate treatments: staining adds color, while etching removes minerals from the stone. Some liquids contain both staining agents and acids, causing combined damage. This kit effectively treats stains, etches, and stained etches.
For rust stains, specialized products like our Marble Rust Remover kits are recommended. Note that Lustro Italiano Stone Sealer does not prevent etching from acidic substances such as wine or citrus; for these, use the Etch Remover.
