Cleaning Atlas Concorde Ceramic/Porcelain

Porcelain/Ceramic surfaces are durable and easy to maintain if installed and initially treated correctly. However, these surfaces are not indestructible. So, in the use and care information Atlas Concorde states:

"Make sure to avoid:

  1. Products with waxing, reviving, polishing and shining characteristics;
  2. Products that contain hydrochloric acid or its derivatives;
  3. Metal scouring pads (pads made from steel or wire wool) or other material that is excessively abrasive."

So, maintenance and regular cleaning needs to be done according to the guidelines. Atlas Concorde recommends using a ready-to-use detergent according to the dilution directions proceding with the following cleaning process for daily cleaning:

  1. Using a broom, wool cloth, or vacuum cleaner make sure that all dust has been removed.
  2. Wash surface using a low-residue detergent and rinse using a damp cloth or microfiber cloth; rinsing often and thoroughly and wringing well.

And for periodic de-greasing cleaning, the same document recommends using an alkaline detergent according to the directions.

Booster Alkaline Detergent

Booster is a multipurpose tile and hard surface cleansing product that can be used for a variety of cleaning tasks. It can be used as a stain remover (full strength) on specific materials or as a cleaner (diluted). Booster Tile Cleaner can be mixed for use in removing discolorations on hard surfaces.
