Removing Stains & Restoring Natural Stone
Natural stone, whether it is granite, marble, or another natural stone, can be stained by various household foods, liquids and other substances. Don't just remove the stain and then hope for the best. After you remove a stain from a natural stone, you must protect it so that it will be more resistant to future spills of those same liquids or other substances. This kit has been specially configured for that purpose. It includes everything you need to not only remove a stain from your natural stone surface like granite (or other quartz based stone) or marble (calcite composed stone).
What Kinds of Stains Is this Recommended For?
Specific stains require specific treatment and this kit is designed to work on the following kinds of stains with an oily base:
- Oils
- Grease
- Wine
- Tea
- Coffee
- Mustard
There are other stains that will require a specific treatment program. One example is a rust stain. Rust stains are not chemically or elementally the same as the stains we just mentioned, they will require a different powder to counteract the effects of the rust. For removing rust stains we recommend using one of the following natural stone solutions:
Marble Specific Rust Removal
WARNING: Lustro Italiano Stone Sealer does not provide anti-etch protection on marble surfaces. Use of acidic substances such as wine, tomato, citrus, coffee, etc. will etch the surface by creating a chemical reaction with the calcium carbonate present in marbles. For etching problems please use
Etch Remover.
